National Accreditation

Crosstown Learning Center is proud to be the first child care center in north Tulsa to receive national accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

NAEYC’s accreditation process involves a year-long self-study which includes training, parent surveys, staff surveys and a thorough study of the physical plant. NAEYC requires that all accredited centers undergo a reaccreditation process every five years. This study is similar to the original accreditation visit, and involves the same self-study principles. Crosstown earned its first national accreditation in 2000, with reaccreditation in 2002, 2008, 2013, and 2018. By remaining committed to meeting national standards, children receive the best quality care available.

The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is dedicated to improving the well-being of all young children, with particular focus on the quality of educational and developmental services for all children from birth through age eight. NAEYC is committed to becoming an increasingly high-performing and inclusive organization.

NAEYC shares its mission in terms of three broad goals:

  • Improving professional practice and working conditions in early childhood education.
  • Supporting early childhood programs by working to achieve a high-quality system of early childhood education.
  • Building a high-performing, inclusive organization of groups and individuals who are committed to promoting excellence in early childhood education for all young children.
